any ideas???
Recently Spencer went on a business retreat, only a night - but it was a nice deal. Relaxing. When he got home he told me that he wanted to send me somewhere alone. Somewhere I can completely relax and just enjoy the weekend. (So no where FAR away.) He asked me where I would like to go; he mentioned Hawaii. I was a little taken back, didn't really understand why I had to go alone. He said that I am never alone and should be able to enjoy a day or two just being with myself. With that said... I honestly have no idea where I want to go; or even if I want to go. I have been thinking about it for a good 3 weeks, and have no clue?! Maybe it is because I really don't care to go anywhere alone. I would rather go with him, my mom or a friend. In the end, I really don't have any idea and was wondering if there is anywhere you all have been that you have LOVED and would go back with a friend, spouse or just yourself for a relaxing night or two. Doesn't have to be "somewhere" far... maybe in the same city... or just a place where you are completely relaxed and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I could think of some placed that would cost me an arm and leg... a night that is. So just wanted your suggestions. Shoot 'em my way.

ummm, you seriously have to think about this?:) How about a great day at the spa, or a triple header at the movie theater, or a weekend/night at one of the great resorts in Napa or Sonoma (cooking classes included)-that would be my first pick. My list could continue, but Jack just awoke, so reality is back on the table...
There is a spa in Santa Barbara called Bacara and it is the BEST place ever. Go with your mom or sister. It is absolutely beautiful, right on the ocean. If you stay during the week it is much cheaper...and totally worth it! You won't be disappointed (don't go alone though).
Go spend a day or night at the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. Matt and I have stayed there twice and it was the most relaxing experience EVER. I am still trying to find a similar place on the East Coast with no luck so far.
What about a cute little bed and breakfast in a a cute little old town? You could wake up to a nice warm meal and spend the day lounging or window shopping...
And of course Hawaii sounds wonderful too!
I have to second the above comment - the Sonoma Mission Inn is great! Scott and I went there a couple of years ago and it was so nice. Great food, great spa, great pool - great all around! Good luck finding a place!
Duck Beach, NC. My first choice any day!
I love this place called the Apple Farm Inn. It's right by San Luis Obisbo (is that how you spell that?). It's very quaint and small town feel. And it's not too far from this Danish town called Sulvain which has amazing pastries and fun artsy/craftsy shopping. I have to say though that I agree with you on going with a friend or spouse or mom.
