Nails
I do this a lot... I dress myself {or R first... whatever comes first} and then will dress R in very very similar things... not on purpose. I must just drift towards a color, pattern or type of fabric/color scheme every now and then. But it makes me laugh - especially when it is this {above photo} noticable.
R has been coming into our room at night, since being placed in a "Big Girl Bed" a few months ago. She stands next to our bed until I can feel her and then I hear her high little voice "I sweep with you mommy". To which I have a hard time refusing most nights. Her little body practically is on top of me for the next bit until I take her back to bed. She is soft and molds right into my body. It is almost like a drug, or a fix - what have you. She is this little part of me that is all girl; but that loves to play cars with her brother.
She sings and dances all day... and refuses to take naps {at least for me} since her binkie "broke". She giggles and constantly says "Watch me mommy... what meeee!", "thank you sooo much" or "I love you soooo much _______". She brings joy and light into every room while she roams.
So tonight when she insisted on being in my lap while I was getting things off the computer I looked down and caught a glimpse of her hands. Her nails to be exact. They were {hands} right on top/next to mine. They still have a little plump to them, but it is quickly fading. And her nails were grey. Grey like her mommy's. She is mine and I am hers. And I sat there hoping that that never changes. Because I am not sure what I would do if it did. She is our only girl, and might be the only girl in the family... which isn't a bad thing. But how happy I am to have her. To have my sidekick... and when I say side kick I mean at all times.

Precious post. You both are adorable.
Amelia likes to play with Owen's cars too...
I dress myself like my kids on accident all the time! Its kind of embarrassing when we walk into church looking like we are ready to take a family photo!
Cute picture of you two though! Your little R has got some serious personality! Cute.
