Meeeeeechigan
{Remember to email me or leave your email... we are going "dark" [private] on the 5th}
When ever I think of the word Michigan one of the top things that comes to mind is one of my friends, Carly, saying MEEEEchigan. Never Michigan, always MEEEEchigan - in my head.
Spencer and I went back to Michigan to see a game the 1st of October. Sans kiddos. My mom came up and watched the kids while we went frolicking in Ann Arbor. We were able to visit with Spencer's sister; and Spencer's parents even flew in. It was so much fun to go and just be together where our marriage started. I had not been back for 5 years. I loved eating at all our favorite restaurants and just being in Ann Arbor. I will admit that I really started missing Mr. Grey. The other two I missed, but not like my little man Grey. Is that bad. Maybe it because he just delights in me and I in him.
Spencer and I right outside of the treasure mart in A2 {Ann Arbor}, where I was up to my neck in milk glass. I couldn't decide which pieces to get, so I kinda just bought most of it... Spencer just rolls his eyes. I like to think in a very supportive way. Then we headed over to Zingermans and gorged ourselves silly with sandwiches and yummy treats. I tell you that when on vacation I eat like crap, good crap that is. To the point of not being able to eat two days after getting home because I am sooooo full.
We went to Dexter's cider mill and once again enjoyed the good food of the earth & fryer - cider & Doughnuts.
After which we went to the Arboretum. Walked a little and Spencer and I both sat there confused at why we never went there when we lived in A2. What were we thinking? It was chalk full of beautiful things, just a different beauty than in the west. Forest/Trees and such.
I guess A2 has these day camps for children and one of which is making homes for the animals... see below. It was so cute. Hudson would LOVE that.
It was a good trip. To visit where Spencer and I were thick in love... {not that we are not now... but ya know - I suppose I should say where we were starting out}, a nibble of some of our favorite foods... and to be with family. Not to mention just being with Spencer. It was a little trip well needed.
To top it off Michigan won! Go blue.

Sounds like you guys had a great time!! We miss it so much up there, especially this time of year. We get up there every summer but nothing beats Ann Arbor in the Fall. :o)
Oh goodness, you're just so beautiful. It looks like a perfect fall trip with your man. I love it.
