Lisa's having a boy!!
My good friend Lisa moved away in July, right when she found out she was having a little boy...
So it was an obvious thing to have her fly out and throw her a shower. Duh?
A peek into the night...
{see the pictures on the mantel? We did those the morning before and they came out great...
she hates taking pictures... but really... who knows why. She is so photogenic.}
{we ate outside... it was a perfect night. I am not sure how we lucked out on that one.
It is amazing how beautiful candle light makes anything. Candles are magical.}
I think she we love ever min. of being a mom.
{This is Taylor... Lisa's half. He is wonderful - and way more productive than me... he came up/over/down... to help out and drive the gifts back to Utah. Really, he did. He also did pretty much anything I told him to do - that is helping with the shower. The to top it off... he baked all the chicken and kept them rolling out the whole dinner. He really was crucial to all of this... him and another I will talk about at the end. Anyway - above he is taking a much needed break to chow. Poor man, all by himself. I think, though, at this point he was happy to be by himself.}
I am so happy that Mandi and I could throw a shower for Lisa. She really is wonderful - in every way possible. Taylor and her will be incredible parents... one lucky little soul gets to be with them for eternity. Not to bad.
We love you guys and hope that we see you in the neighborhood in the near future - if not, then we will love you from afar!
**Now, this post would be a lot of hot air if I didn't mention the person who really really put it all together. Spencer. He can get things done faster - with perfection - than I would ever dream. He is creative, loving, encouraging and a very hard worker. He {alone} pulled out our {about 70%} whole yard in the front and redid it, for us - yes, but he got it done for the shower. He cleaned, took time off work and helped get things organized with rentals and such. He was my secret, but not really a secret ingredient for this event... and really the last 8 years.
He is quiet about his work, but steady and dependable. I really really owe him.
So
- cheers to Lisa and Taylor and the upcoming arrival...
and
cheers to me... for fooling such an amazing man to be my husband.

I LOVE YOU! Those pictures are perfect! Along with the entire shower and week there! I don't know how to say thank you and I love you enough! Seriously?!!? You and Mandi and Spencer are insane for how much time and effort and money it took to make it such a fun night. I will never forget it! Can't wait to move in this week and start getting things ready for my little man with all the new gifts I have:) LOVE YOU!!
