A 4th birthday to remember...
Hudson's birthday was filled to the max...
He couldn't go to sleep the night before; I made the mistake of telling him where we were going the next day. Legoland with is pally pal S (his cousin). Plus you know, it was his birthday and he is no dummy. He knew there would be cake, presents and merriment. Why wold he want to go to sleep??! I put him to bed around 8pm, every 15 min I saw his little head bounce up around the corner. It was funny at first, then I knew I was going to be the one with him and his ornery self the next day so I started to get frustrated. About 9:45 I didn't see him anymore... until about 10:30. I walked upstairs and looked into my parent's room to find him and my dad in bed watching Shark Week. (my dad went and got him out of bed to "hang out") Nice. I picked him up, he & my father told me I was mean. I put him to bed and he fell asleep until morning. I then went down stair to start decorating the place. In the morning I blew up (with helium) 40 balloons and had them all over the family room for him.
Reagan was up first, and so she had time to enjoy the happiness balloons bring all to herself.
Here are pictures from the day - in sequence.
Grandma brought him down in the morning...
He told me he was 4, i didn't remember.
First gift of the morning. Batman motorcycle.
You will see a theme...
Candles in the morning...
Now... for the faces of all faces.
At Legoland I didn't spend a penny on food, toys, stuffed animals... instead we bought some rad face painting. I mean, how fun are these boys?
H & his sidekick S
(this was after Legoland and a full day - the painted faces still looked great. Don't ask how much. I won't tell you.)
S
Doesn't his eyes glow?
Batman Cake, what else?
A eating, it is what her and R like to do.
(s' sister)
It was a GRRRREAT birthday.
We loved spending it with family that live far away from us.
Thanks family for making it so much fun to be 4.
