It begins
I have been reading some blogs that tell of how it was the first day of preschool for their little ones... I kinda wish it was H's first... but it is his 3rd {well really his 2nd} 1st day of preschool.
The reason he started so early {no it wasn't because I needed him gone} is that we were advised to get him in with teachers and students to help his speech. So thus he has been in preschool for about 2 years.
The preschool his is attending is amazing.
So nurturing and proactive with his speech.
Well structured, centered around love and the teachings of Christ.
He has developed a love for his teachers and friends, which I can only be happy about.
So it isn't his 1st day... but his 1st day this school year - and he was excited.
R was pretty thrilled, to say the least, to go inside the hall of the school with many excited children. She is a friendly one; very friendly.
A fellow mother took this picture of us... I was a little embarrassed with my makeup-less-ness. Especially when one of the room moms had us stop to get a picture; ya know so it can be blown up and placed on the wall. I should have thought to put some makeup on and do my smelly, dirty hair... I wish I would have gotten that memo... it seems I was the only one who didn't remember this very important information:
1st day of your child's school = do make up, hair and match your clothes.
On another note:
I was able to help in H's class today. We celebrated his birthday in class, since it was a summer birthday. He got to bring in a treat {ice cream cups} and introduce me. In the middle of introducing me he leaned over and said: "Mom, I really like you". Then followed it up with a blown kiss. I tell ya.
It was so fun to be in there with him.
To watch him participate, play, do art and get excited about it being HIS day.
While I was in helping out, R was in the nursery {I did have to pay} showing everyone her personality. She is my child who when I am taking off she smiles, blows a kiss and suffocates herself in the oodles of toys left for her entertainment. She was in HEAVEN.
