32
What do you do when you turn 32?....
Eat; that is what you do.
The picture above is actually the ending of the eating weekend... but thought is was fitting to start it out with some "fire". Spencer loves him some boxed brownies.
The day started off with some costco purchases... {not so much for Spencer, but a bed for H}, then lunch {a pre- lunch} of hotdogs and pizza.
If you do not know Spencer, know this. He loves to eat. Not a lot at one time, but he {I think and am amazed every moment - seriously I vocalize it, sorry Spence} eats constantly. There is something in the man's hand every 15 min. no joke. We laugh, and he disagreed at first... but has come to his senses in agreeing with me, that if I am eating something - doesn't matter if he just finished a 5 course meal of the finest food- he will ask what I am eating, then will go and get himself the same thing. The man can not stand having some one eat , pretty much anything, around him and he not enjoy the same thing. Again this amazes me daily. He asked me why I get all uptight when I should know after 7.5 years of marriage that he just likes to eat constantly. I don't know why I do... I may never not be amazed. It is what it is. And the man likes food. So it would be fitting that that is what his 32nd consisted of. Not intentionally, but in 7 hours we ate almost 4 meals. All in the good city of S.F.
Spencer and his V.I.P guests. Mom and Dad.
Ghirardelli Square, waiting patiently for our sundays {we started with dessert}
Some {this was my buy... then each one followed, and added some clam chowder soup} sour dough bread in turtle form. I LOVED this.
Soup g.o.n.e.
Our party of four... above Spence and me, below Spencer's parents - Kalle and Merrill.
45 min later... we were huddled around a table at Roys. It was yummy. I couldn't think of eating a whole meal - so Kalle and I split some salmon while the men, fork ready, attacked their dinner.
We had four desserts, counting this one below.
He was a happy camper.
And we all slept really well that night.
*Side note:
Hudson - two days prior to Spencer's birthday - out of the blue
asked if he could get his daddy a present. I thought it was a
great idea... thinking that he wanted to get him some cookies,
or a hat, or I don't know??! But he said, "I really want to get
dad a watch." Ummm, okay... and honestly Spencer did need
one. I thought it was really thoughtful of Hudson, and pretty
cute he thought of this. So off we went to the mall to find
"the watch". He found one, and you know how he knew it was
"the one"... because the face of the watch looked just like daddy's
speedometer in his new, fast, black car. Done. He was in heaven
giving this to Spencer. The only problem... keeping it a secret.
But he did.
We love you Spencer!
