I just finished this book... it took me two months - which for me is never a good sign. Not sure what I think. I do enjoy Elizabeth's way of writing, it is funny and real. Many parts in the book I thought I was ready {small parts} a journal entry from myself... but the majority of the book I just don't relate to. Not that it makes it a bad book - just not my favorite.
It is amazing that she had the guts to take off for a year {or more} and find herself... and leave everything behind. That is pretty amazing. I would be missing home too much. I guess I have never gotten to her "place" of desperation, and I hope to never get there to be honest.
Anyway - I really hope the movie is better.
So I started reading Hunger Games the other day {I know, I am the last person I know to start the series} and I love it. I mean I am going to the gym today - which I haven't done in a month or more - to just have 30 min of reading time... ha. The third installment of the series came out today and I am pretty sure I am going to costco to get myself those next two books... because I will need them this week.
Happy reading!
Any suggestions out there? I need some good books to read. Remember we don't have t.v.. Which I have decided {as well as Spencer} that it is not fun to not have T.V. I am just not one to be addicted to t.v., but I like to have it in the house, anyway... that probably sounds like I just contradicted myself... but whatever. I like t.v. And believe me Spencer is pulling all strings to get it in our house by the 1st of Sept. when college football starts.
Hope Michigan is better this year.

read Lolita. it is mind blowing.
and the movie (eat pray love) was mediocre.
I didn't like the book much. Self absorbed and not very engaging.

A book called Graceling is really good. By Kristin Cashore.
