Birthday Time

This day has been long awaited by a certain someone. This someone turned 5 on the 12th of Aug. and {hopefully} had a great day. He started it out just right... with some german pancakes... his favorite.

Then moved onto gifts {one every few hours...}.

Above: liking his tractors given by R. every boys loves himself some big trucks.

Below: R thinking she was needing a little camera time. Strike a pose.
Grandma came through with some "light up shoes"... I will admit they are pretty cool.
And they don't have any "characters" on them, which we all know my opinion on character shoes.

Now onto the "love" gift... legos. This here is his HUGE police station he got... he was SOOOO excited about. Then he got a pirate set, a fire engine set, a starwars set. I guess that is what to buy a 5 year old for his birthday. Goodness me. My mom and I need some serious back massages after the last three days. Constant lego camp has been at our place.

Party time:
****

Pirate theme, of course.

{While the kids ate, Spencer asked them questions?!
Not sure what questions he asked them, but Reagan thought she knew all the answers!}

Here are some classics.
The first two are my favorite.
Yes, it is of Hudson. But he was so ticked that he didn't win a game at his own party that he pouted the entire hour after the game. He kept saying "but I am the captain!"
Here are the pictures to show it.

Here are a few of our crew. Cute kids.

S didn't quite understand the "pirate look", but I will take it. Who wouldn't?
I mean what pirate wouldn't turn their boat around with one look thrown their way from her?

This is C. Hudson has a slight interest in this one above. She is such a sweet girl.

Then we have baby R, who is the happiest thing alive. He is such a handsome boy.

Spencer and I exhausted after the party... who knew throwing a party for 5 - 7 year olds would be so tiring! Note taken.

Then the secret ingredient to my success this week, to getting anything done: my mom. She is amazing and I love her so much. She has helped me make this new house feel more like a home in the past week then I have in the last two months. I honestly do not think I would have gotten 1/4 of what we got done without her. I am so happy she is mine, and I have her forever. What would we {any of us} do without our moms?

Dear Whitney...Next August when it's my birthday can you please plan my birthday party? I don't mind being a pirate as long as you make those awesome cupcakes.

Oh my. You are the 'funnest' mom ever. Savy has not stopped talking about you and all the friends she played with. Thank you for the invite, you made her summer. Your pictures are awesome. I am so jealous of your talent.
