Costco kiss

Hudson and I were in Costco yesterday and I bought him a Hot Dog, which he ate the whole thing... that is A LOT of meat. I was so happy he ate the whole thing... he usually only eats two bites. Anyway...
My "Way" of getting at least 1/2 way through my shopping with him in the cart, sitting, is to buy him some sort of food and to let him read all the books he wants; we collect from the "book" aisle and then leave them with the cashier at the end. They love us for that one.
So once he was done eating and I had run out of luck and time with my stationary son, I got him out of the cart to follow me. He does okay... I just feel like I call his name every 2 seconds and I never stop until in the car. As all of you Costco shoppers know not only are the Halloween decor and candy out in the store but there are at least 2-3 aisles dedicated to Christmas already. Hudson loves this... he loves the huge snowmen and animals that move. So we were heading down the aisles for the 2nd time and I stubbed my toe on the wheel of the cart. OUCH! I winced and kept saying "shoot shoot, crap, shoot shoot my toe"! Hudson just stared at me... and once he heard me say toe, he fell to the floor. Head on the ground (practically) and put his lips all over my toes. He just kissed them for about 20 seconds, which is a long time. It made me laugh and forget about my toe - it melted me. It kind of grossed me out he was flat on the floor at first, but when he kissed my toe to make sure I was okay... the dirt didn't matter as much. It was so sweet. Something you wish you had taped. I just thought I would share that. I don't want to forget it, so I am blogging it.

How cute! What a great story to remember forever. I love that in the cuteness, the dirtyness hardly matters. Kids are great!

Whitney,

That is so sweet! I could see how you would melt! Cade did something similar the other day when I hit my elbow- he said "I kiss it, mommy." I melted too. I wish we could get our boys together- they would have a blast!

Shopping with kids not so fun but Hudson kissing your toes had to make the trip completely worth it; priceless!

Whitney I would think that by some strange coincidence you were not a married in member of the Jergensen Family. You definately show signs of OCD for germs. It is to cute that Hudson did that.

I can relate with the Costco scene of calling your childs name the entire time you are in there...just wait until you have two kids and they run separate directions...gotta love it! Everytime I go into Costco I swear that I will never return by myself with both kids!
