Hudson started Pre-School

Hudson pointing to his new school

Waiting for daddy to come and wish him luck

Posing for the "1st day of pre-school" picture. Don't you want to eat him and his backpack?!?!

The Monday after we got back from our trip, I think it was the 17th of Sept., Hudson hit a "milestone", he started pre-school. I remember thinking "how did my mom get all of us ready for grade school growing up?!??" I couldn't even get a 2 year old ready in time. Maybe it was because we both slept it. Which is unheard of, sometimes. I think I need to figure out my "time management skills" once again. We weren't late, but we're rushed. And I hate being rushed, just because I forget everything when "rushing" is occurring. So we got to his school, which by the way is the jackpot for a 2 year old. There is this High School teacher who teaches a "child development Class", and the class is Hudson's pre-school. He has a different High School Buddy every hour, and although his 1st hour buddy was a little "skanky" (haven't had her since, thank goodness), the rest were great. I actually stayed the whole three hours the first day. I sat in the corner and let him know I was there. (A tid-bit of history of Hudson and me: we are semi connected. He usually doesn't let me step out of a room without following me. So really this one day a week pre-school is something I am trying to use to slowly nip this one "connected problem" in the rear. Nursery on Sunday isn't a problem for him, only because I am in nursery. USUALLY not a good thing to have the parents in the nursery, of the nursery age kids... only because then they assume you are going to be everywhere with them at all times - just my experience.) He did alright (only one melt down when I tried to leave), would look over every 2 min. to make sure I was sitting in my chair and would wave and come and give me kisses. Which I really don't mind at all. Love the kisses and affection. So the next Monday, when time to go Hudson was sick so we missed. But the next Monday he went and I stayed for about 5-10 min and left! I didn't know what to do with myself. Three whole hours of just me?!?! And not having to pay a babysitter!?!? Wow. So I did a little antique shopping, had some hot chocolate and the cherry on top I got to have lunch with my cute Husband, who works 2 min. away from Hudson's school. So I was in! Mondays are amazing days. Hudson does so well, he is ready to go home when the time comes, eats his whole lunch and showers me with kisses when I arrive. He also takes 3-4 hour napes on Mondays.... I hear angels singing. This is a good thing for us all. Plus he is learning!!!

He is so so cute!!! I can't believe he is already in preschool. I guess in another year that will be Christian. Maybe? If he is potty trianed. Is Hudson already potty trained? Do they have to be to go to preschool? What a nice break for you! 3 hours? Wow!!

Both Emery and Easton have done the High School Preschool and loved it. It's MUCH cheaper (80 for 4 months vs 150 PER month!) and they get much more one on one time. We've got our share of "skanky" girls here too, unfortunately, but at least the kids are too young to notice, right?

I love the ducky back pack. I remember you writing about it when he first got it and how obsessed he was with it. How cute! He is so handsome too...I bet all the girlies are lining up already!! Takes after sugar daddy Spence. Yes, Mayah still refers to him as that :-)
