Ohhhhh Toooo-dossss...

Hudson's favorite favorite thing to watch on television is:

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

He is such a fan. I have, at least, 4 shows recorder for the emergency "just in case" mood and "mom needs a shower break". Right when he wakes up he asks for "tooo-dosssss", which is a small "character/tool" on the cartoon. He thinks that the show is called tooodooosss (toodles). He thinks Mickey is actually toooodooooos. And who am I to correct such cuteness?
Anyway, it is what he asks for through out the day; that is if he is wanting to be entertained by something other than mom. So tonight as we were sitting here, me finishing some primary stuff on the computer, Spencer m.i.a looking for something - Hudson was sitting on my bed just watching me and then asked the famous question: "Mommy, OH TOOODOOOOS" (which by the way he never asks for without his right hand cupping his mouth to enforce the beckoning of this cartoon.). So I looked around and had the following conversation with him:

Me: "Toodles? Where I can't see him! Where is he?"

Hudson just looks at me as though I am completely insane.

Me: "Hudson where did he go, you said his name?"

Hudson: "NO mama, TOOODOOOOS" cupping his mouth

Me: "Hudson I am not sure if he is really here... I think you are teasing me."

Hudson: "MAMA, right dere right dere... (dere = there)!!!" He then excitedly unzips his pajamas and opens them up to unveil toodles... He was so determined to show me what toodles was that he figured he had a picture on him the whole time - his diaper. Yes, Mickey and Mini Mouse are present on Hudson's huggies diapers.

My reaction: He is so smart. And really funny too.

I just laughed at him and then I geared him to a game of hungry hippos. I love the mind of a child. The purity and imagination that it has all stored up. I love to watch Hudson's face and see the "wheels" turning to figure out ways of communication or just facial expressions when he thinks. It is such a treat to be his mom. I love every moment of it. He is truly our ray of sunshine day and night.
