President Hinckley

I know that I am late in posting about the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley (of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints); in truth it was a little hard for me to find words of how I would and could express my gratitude for such a man as this.

I remember one experience vividly (as many, I am sure do) about just being in the same "room" as him. It was my first experience attending General Conference. I remember getting to my seat and barely sitting down to rise again, President Hinckley then entered the room and it was pretty amazing. Amazing that in that moment, with thousands of others crowded into this room, you could hear a pin drop. The whole conference center was quiet, and I am sure in awe of the spirit we all felt with just the entering of the Prophet. I remember in that instant my testimony, once again, of living Prophets was strengthened. The spirit was palpable and that is something you don't experience (well I don't) too often.

I am just so grateful for the love and guidance of President Hinckley. Sad to have him leave us, but I could not think of a more awaited reunion than that of being with not only the Savior, but the love of his life, Marjorie Hinckley, once again. Makes you want to "be a little better", doesn't it?

I'm sorry for the loss to your church. I know he was a good man. And his wife has got to be one of the most adorable ladies I have ever seen!

I love him and will miss him. I feel like his death is sad for all of us and happy for him and his wife. What a legacy he left...
