Ruggles
So, growing up... there really wasn't one of us that was a REAL dog person - that is until my little sister (the youngest) was born. She might just have one of the most tender and loving hearts in general, but when it comes to dogs (or animals) she is on another level.
Thus this entry:
Yesterday my little Sadie had to say goodbye to one of her best friends: Ruggles
Ruggles was our dog for 14 years and was pretty much her other half. She was put to sleep yesterday and I just wanted to let Sadie know how much I love her and that I am thinking of you.

Oh Sadie I remember when your mom was prego with her what a sweet girl I remember baby sitting her a few times. I am sure she is not that little girl I rememeber any more!!!!!
This is hard to let go of a beloved animal our thought are with her today that she might be comforted.

I remember so well the day our dog who was 19 years old died (older than me at the time, I was 16). Sadie sounds a lot like me and I still think that was one of the hardest days of my life. I feel for her, a dog really can be your best friend.
