Eating habits

Today as I watched all of Reagan's food fall to the ground... I realized what I had on my hands.  A woman with a mind of her own.

Spencer and I laughed at her throwing her corn (so not laughing when I had to pick some of it up) to the ground.  She had had enough food for that "sitting".  I think that Spencer and I didn't move fast enough to stop her for

1.) we were dead tired - Sundays create such a heavy lid day - ya know?

And

2.) We were hoping the other would get up - didn't happen.  SO we sat and watched her destroy my clean floor.

And then this happened...

One of us got her down (can't remember who, how sad is that?) and let her go do whatever it is she wanted.  Just so we could enjoy a moment of eating without shoving food in one or two child(s) mouth.  Once she hit the floor it was a feeding frenzy.  No joke.

This eating action jogged my memory of Spencer and my first born... H, he was a social eater.  Again - not kidding.  He would eat a full on meal;  5 min. later he would see us eating and move in for some more.  He would eat at any time, and could out eat any one of us.  But LOVED to eat with people - when any "people" ate to be more exact.  Social Eater, yes he was.

Once my memory jog was over I realized what kind of eater my daughter was... she is a Scrapper.  Yep.  She eats better when her food is served on the floor.  Needless to say half of my corn that was thrown to the floor was now in her little tummy.  I guess she just gets sick of eating in a high chair?!!  So now we know.  Nice.  You would think that a little woman would be somewhat mindful of not only what she ate, but how.  (kidding) Who knows?  But she is full.  My little scrapper eater.

What a lady.

Owen does the same thing! Only it's not from the floor (we have dogs, remember, so our floor is too dirty to eat off of). Instead, he gets out of his highchair and eats all the scraps from the chair itself. Too funny!
