Girlie toys

Spencer and I have been talking this past week about girl toys.  It all started earlier this week when Spencer went to get something for Reagan to play with - and all he could find were cars and balls for her.  And really - that is all she plays with.  She does not have one girl toy, well other than a unicorn horse I bought her a while ago... it is a small unicorn... I just thought it was cute.

So this week I made it a point to get her something girlie.  And what is more girlie than her first baby-doll (those things costs a lot of money for the nice ones, wow)?  I also bought her a little stroller, which I cut the fabric while opening... cheap thing.  Or dumb me... either way it is torn and now I have to stitch it... wonderful.

Here is R's new addition:
When she first saw it she pointed at it from down the hall and then giggled.  Quickly got to it and took it out of the stroller and then put it back in, all the while talking to it very loudly.

Like the no pants... this was after her nap.

Held the doll's hand for a moment and then proceeded with her mission... of strolling.  Which was funny funny.  She was like a drunk toddler trying to walk a straight line.

Once she fell over for the 5th time the baby came out too.  R picked up the baby kissed it.  Then got really excited because she found that it made sounds when you pushed it's belly.
Once the sounds were done, she babbled a bit more and then threw (no joke) the babe into the stroller upside down and continued with her stroll.  We will have to work on "gentle".
I love that she instinctively knows how to love on another "being".  How she kisses it when it falls, how she talks to her doll and holds the doll's hand.  It is amazing how the ability to love so freely comes naturally to children.  To love with no guile, and no judgment.  But to love strongly, and then to be happy about the love they (she) give.  Because we all know dolls don't love back... but you could not wipe the smile off R's face.

*Hudson really likes the doll as well... well the stroller.
The boy pouts all day because he can't play with it when R is.
He is not about her having the say on the girl toys.
Hopefully we get over this one soon.
He wants that baby for himself.
He kept giving R cars to trade with her,
to which she did her fake cry/yell and puppy eyes.
He was miffed.
It was funny actually.

LOVE the girly toys! Your house will soon be swarming with them...they are endless, but oh so much fun! Connor loves the girly toys just as much and the girls do :-). I love your dark hair, you are one hot mamma, and I totally know what you mean about seeing pictures and thinking "I didn't think I looked THAT old yet", but I have to say that you are crazy for thinking that about that pic...you look georgous in it...as usual! love you.
