Dilated at 33 weeks...
On Monday night I started having bad cramps. I just thought they were, I actually don't know... I wasn't thinking "contractions.". They were contractions like I had never felt. All in my lower abdomen and lower back - they ached like crazy and never let down. It was a consistent 15 min. + of intense hurt. I just sat there on the couch thinking... what on earth is this?!? When I went into labor with Hudson his contractions felt more like braxton Hicks... these were nothing like that... so I wasn't thinking that they were contractions. But after a while I thought this wasn't right. I stayed on my left side and drank some water and they somewhat let up... but if I got up they would come back. Anyway - I had a doctors appointment the next morning, so I just went to bed... I went to the doctors and he checked me... and I am dilated to a 1 (and he has some fat fingers... so who knows?). Not that it is something to worry about... considering probably a lot of people are dilated to 1 with 7 weeks to go, they just don't know because they are not checked until 36weeks... or more. So, I wasn't too worried but my doctor was not about that dilation. He had me come in today and have some test done, forgot the name. It is actually a pretty cool thing. This little swab checks for a protein in your "woman part" that is only there when you are in minor labor or when your body is 1-2 weeks away from going into labor. Who knew?!? I never knew that they had these tests available. So, I haven't heard from the doctor - but am guessing that because I didn't hear today that it is a negative - which is really good. I am all about 1-2 weeks early - nothing earlier... she can stay where she is for the time being thank you. So when I find out I will "blog" it.... otherwise I am doing good. My doctor has me staying put, not "doing" too much. Which is really really difficult when my bed isn't made all day - since that chore has to do with lifting the HEAVY mattress. But, it is all for a good purpose.
.... And I KNOW... NO lifting Hudson.

You bake that baby as long as you possibly can! I'll most definitely be checking back to see the updates!
Well, obviously I don't want you to deliver this early, but I can't help but be a little jealous of your dilation. I am only 5 days from my due date with NO dilation and NO contractions. I would pay good money to convince a doctor to induce labor at this point...
Take it easy as much as possible!
Yikes Whinny! Early is good, but not that early, I agree with you. Stay rested and have fun at your shindig this weekend. Wish I could be there. Your gift is sitting here ready to be shipped. Love ya...
Whitney, you are so very right early babies are scarey my little alexis was 7 weeks early and very tiny, however I had no choice at that point my amnio fluid was very low so they took her c section very quickly. I remember my Dr said that 35 weeks was the ultimate goal for me but Alexis had something else in mind!!
