The San Fran. Zoo

On Tues. we went to the San Francisco Zoo to see if those lions were really hungry! Only kidding. (The San Fran. Zoo is the "zoo" that the lions got out of a couple months ago and killed a man/boy and hurt a few others... not to mention some other animal got out recently as well... REALLY SCARY!) So, it took some convincing on my mother's part to get me to go. My dad seemed to ease my reluctance with "Well... the Lions will probably go for you and not Hudson since you are a 'two for one meal' ". Yes, I felt so much better.

So we headed off and took our chances.

The San Fran. Zoo is such a beautiful zoo, it is filled with trees and sits right on the beach - no joke, it is across the street from the beach. You get the smell of zoo + beach = perfection... ya right. Anything that smells like zoo is gross... but I will admit this zoo doesn't have that bad of a stench.

It was such a nice afternoon... not only could I enjoy being with my mom and sister, Sadie... and Hudson, but I didn't have to run after him when he ran from "here to there". Since the last 4 weeks or so I have somewhat not ventured out and about for fear of having to chase him around... and for the fact that my body CAN NOT run at this moment. I am having a tough time walking let alone running. So getting out and letting Hudson enjoy outside was thrilling for him and loads of fun and fresh air for me.

Roarrring like a LION (African Lion behind him... it was growling really really loud - some dork of a man was taunting it. We left soon after. Yes I was "running" at this point... just kidding - sort of).

This was Hudson's favorite part; forget all the animals... once he heard the whistle and sound of the "Little Puff" he was on a hunt to find the "choo choo". It is all he wanted until he found it. So he went of a ride with my mom and sister. It was his MAJOR highlight. Who would have guessed?
