Just for memory's sake

On Wed. afternoon I got Hudson up from his nap and put him in the car, which he gets SOOO excited about. Only because he knows this means that we are (A) Going on a trip in the car, or (B) Going on a trip on an airplane. And he ADORES the airport. He sobbes if we have to drop someone off and he can not go with them. So anyway - off we went to the airport to pick my mom up. He was talking to me about every stinkin' truck, "train" (BART - the transportation system into S.F.), animal, airplane and tracker we come/came across on the way there.
(It is actually a lot of fun to listen to him take about all these things; he gets so excited. Each comment is followed by a "oooohhhhhh, or wooooooow" . And if you do not repeat everything he says then he will scream it until you say it. It only gets louder and louder - so it is best if you just repeat everything that comes out of his little mouth.)
So, we were on our way when I decided that a little music would be nice, even if it is "his" music. So I started one of his CD's and he quieted down and started to sing a long. A few songs into the CD there was an instrument (have no clue which one it was, lets say a BIG FRENCH HORN) that went off, and it sounded like , well... a fart. Of course unintentionally, it was just some part in the song. Hudson started to giggle and loudly said, "MAAAAMMMA!"
I was thunderstruck. WHAT? He thought I had farted!?
I was like, "No, Hudson that wasn't me... that was the song!"
Yeah - okay Whitney try to tell a 2 year old you didn't "toot", not going to happen.
I tried again, "no Hudson that one was not me! Seriously!"
"No, Mama." as he giggle again.

And so there it is folks. Good thing he can't talk too well and has no memory of what noise he heard in the car otherwise he may of entered me into some World Record book for loudest fart. Oh the joy.

It was really funny.

That story is pretty classic! My mom's got one when she took my cousin Tim to a doctor's appointment (LONG time ago). They went in the elevator (a very crowded one, mind you) and when it started moving he said "Aunt Mary, that tickles my pee-pee" in this weird Southern accent. She said she's so grateful he said "Aunt Mary" instead of "Mom." Either way, though, I'm sure it was a riot for everyone else in the elevator!

Anyhow, yes we're still on for this weekend. The only thing is Scott can't make it (all this time you thought Spencer might not make it and it turns out to be my husband who can't be there!) In my pregnant state of mind I forgot he works Sat/Sun this week (gotta love that weird, rotating firefighter schedule). So, I don't mind being the third wheel if Spencer still wants to come. We were going to meet up in Vacaville, right? Email me and we'll set up the details (I don't have your email and I can't get to it from your blog - but mine's on our blog).

Hope you had a great day and I'm excited to see you this weekend!

Whitney,
I started to laugh out loud! It is so funny when kids do stuff like that! When we were at the mall one time, Cade came to the bathroom with my sister and me, and he said "Aunt Jamie has to go poop- and everyone in the bathroom heard him! It was hilarious! Those moments that they make you laugh you will never forget!

Funny story. We are still working on good manners with the kids here in this house. Anyway, here's the post about the hats and it has links to Pandora's Box. http://cougarbluefamily.blogspot.com/2008/01/pandoras-box-beanies.html

LOL!!! There are times that I seriously hope Jackson and Noah won't repeat to their church teachers or at Jackson's school. That was too funny. And only one blow out? Ever? You are too lucky!!!

I don't even need to ask why he knows what that is and thinks it's funny. I have lived with my brother. I am certain this is his fault! Too funny.
