Two things:
I was thinking today, as I sat by the open window, how much I HATE the smell of cut grass. I know this is probably really unusual. Most people love that smell, it reminds them of summer or long warm nights, I just flat out hate the smell.
I have memories of jogging by homes on warm sat. mornings and having to run to the other side of the road not to have to smell the grass. I am not sure why, it is strange. I will say that not only is it the smell that bothers me, but what it does to my lungs. I am going to take a wild guess and say that I am allergic to grass... for this one reason... that when I walk by or smell "cut grass" my lungs tighten and I can't breathe. Hence the hate for it... I am sure that if this wasn't the reaction each time then I wouldn't despise the smell so much.
Also...
Today I was peeling a bag of carrots and remembered how much I LOVE the smell and taste of raw carrots. This smell reminds me of warm summer nights and growing up for some reason?! But the smell and taste, for me, is divine.
I know, I am a little off my rocker.

You are funny! I love the smell of grass. But if I had to relate it to running, well, I may not love it so much. :)
I'm totally with you on this one. I hate the smell of cut grass too. I remember having to close my window after my dad cut the grass while I was a kid. My lungs don't tighten, I just think it stinks.
And carrots smell wonderful! So sweet and fresh!
